Inlet Control Structure Upgrade

Project Details: Complete refurbishment of Red River Floodway Inlet Control Structure. Replaced the main hydraulic gate lift cylinders; replaced and machined guide plates; replaced gate pins and upgraded the hydraulic control system.

The Golden Boy Refurbishment

Project Details: coordinated and performed reconstruction of the statue atop the Province of Manitoba’s Legislature building. Originally constructed in 1917, the support and pins holding the statue together required precise disassembly, machining and reconstruction to repair weather-related damage. Under very strict professional and artistic guidelines, the statue was repaired on time and on budget by a small group of very skilled Pritchard Machine tradespeople.

Design and Manufacture of an Aerial Lift

Project Details: designed and manufactured a specialized 55 ton tracked self- propelled hydraulic operated aerial lift with an 82 foot reach. This project required extensive design, welding and hydraulic capabilities with a strict delivery date requirement.

Mobile Test Lab Manufacture

Project Details: manufactured and furnished two complete mobile test labs in accordance with detailed plans and specifications provided by the customer. Manufacturing included coordinating materials with suppliers, precise aluminum and stainless welding and finishing inside and out, and testing all supplied components for reliable operation.

Servo Motor Manufacture

Project Details: Manufactured and tested Servomotors and interface components for turbine controls on G.E. turbines supplied to Manitoba Hydro / Limestone generating station. C.W.B. heavy welding certification plus strict Q.A. requirements were met.

Hydraulic System Upgrade/Automatic Jetway Refit

Project Details: was the primary services supplier and general project manager for the refit of a passenger bridge at Winnipeg International Airport to meet current fire regulation standards. The project required upgrading the bridge’s hydraulic system and converting to an automatic jetway canopy in order to accommodate 747 aircrafts. met the project’s strict delivery date requirements.


Rail Plant Upgrade

Project Details: provided primary services for upgrading equipment in CPR’s continuous weld rail plant. The project brought to bear TPG’s experience and expertise in a number of fields including specialized hydraulics, breathing air systems, plumbing, hydraulic piping and machining.


Stop Log Hoist Overhaul

Project Details: performed a complete overhaul of the Stop Log Hoist at Manitoba Hydro’s Seven Sisters Generating Station, located on the Winnipeg River in Eastern Manitoba. This project required the complete electrical refurbishment of the hoist along and machining of new gears and shafts, as well as replacing all Babbitt bushings with bronze bushings. was also responsible for removing and re-installing the overhauled hoist.
